2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans: How to watch on ESPN

By Keith Jenkins

The PGA Tour`s only team event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, is scheduled to start this week at TPC Louisiana.

Headlining the 160-player field are Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, competing as one of the two-player teams. McIlroy and Lowry are the defending champions, having won last season in a playoff against Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer.

This marks McIlroy`s first appearance since his victory at the 2025 Masters, where he completed the career Grand Slam.

Following 36 holes, the leading 33 teams (including ties) will advance to the final two rounds. The format includes two rounds of foursomes (alternate shot) and two rounds of four-ball (best ball) to determine the champions. The winning pair will each receive $1,329,400 and 400 FedEx Cup points.

Since 2017, the tournament`s two-man format has encouraged pairings based on shared backgrounds, such as nationality, college, or hometown. The current tournament scoring record is held by Nick Hardy and Davis Riley, who finished at 30-under 258 in 2023.
