Alcaraz Secures Rome Title, Evokes Nadal Comparison from ATP

The ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) press service has commented on the recent victory of Carlos Alcaraz, the world number three and four-time Grand Slam champion, at the Rome Masters tournament.

In the final match, the Spanish player overcame the current world number one, Italian Jannik Sinner, with a score of 7/6(5), 6/1 to claim the title.

Following Alcaraz`s triumph, the ATP`s social media post drew a parallel with legendary compatriot Rafael Nadal. They wrote:

“Following in his idol`s footsteps”

This win, secured on May 18th, marks the 19th career title for Carlos Alcaraz. His successful season to date also includes earlier victories at the Monte-Carlo Masters and the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam.
