World No. 32 Alejandro Tabilo shared his thoughts on defeating Novak Djokovic in the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters (6-3, 6-4).
“I`ve had a tough year, so I was a bit nervous,” Tabilo admitted. “I just tried to remember what worked last time, and thankfully, my serve was good. It really helped me refocus after the first game. It was an unreal match.”
When asked about his difficult start to the year, which included six losses in his first six matches, Tabilo explained, “There were some personal issues, but we`ve been trying to cope. It`s been getting a little easier match by match. Now I`m just really happy that I`m feeling better,” Tabilo said in an on-court interview.
