World No. 2 Alexander Zverev of Germany is set to compete at the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg, Germany, after receiving a wild card entry.
Zverev is expected to be the top seed in Hamburg. This comes after Jannik Sinner, who was initially anticipated to be the No. 1 seed, withdrew from the event.
Notably, several other players, including Holger Rune of Denmark, Lorenzo Musetti of Italy, and Tommy Paul of the United States, have also withdrawn from the tournament.
The clay-court tournament is scheduled to take place from May 18 to 24. The defending champion is France`s Arthur Fils, who defeated Zverev in last year`s final with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(1).
