Former world No. 1 Andy Roddick recently shared his perspective on the upcoming Wimbledon Championships, naming Carlos Alcaraz as the undeniable favorite.
I see him as the clear frontrunner, and I wouldn`t risk betting against him.
Of course, anything is possible in tennis. Jannik Sinner, for example, could certainly challenge – we must remember he`s still a top-tier player. He`s the current world No. 1 and has consistently played his best tennis, particularly on hard courts.
But there`s no need to put too much weight on specific matches. Alcaraz was already the favorite for Wimbledon before the grass-court events in London, and his recent performances have only solidified that position. I believe most people would agree with that assessment.
Roddick made these comments on his podcast, Quick Served with Andy Roddick.
