Former world No. 1 and 2003 US Open winner, American tennis star Andy Roddick, has voiced his admiration for Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, currently ranked third globally, declaring him his favorite player.
Roddick stated, “After his loss in the Indian Wells semi-final, many were taken aback. Yet, he remains an incredibly powerful player. His performance in the first match in Miami wasn`t ideal. However, I am a dedicated fan, and he is the player I most enjoy watching. At times, his inconsistency makes him relatable. You can observe him assessing the situation and making choices right during the match.”
At the Monte Carlo Masters tournament, Carlos Alcaraz is set to commence his campaign from the second round, where he will face the victor of the match between Fabio Fognini of Italy and Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina.
