Conor McGregor Changes His Mind About Mike Perry, Now Wants Him Back

Conor McGregor seems to have reversed his decision to fire Mike Perry and might offer him a major fight.

After Mike Perry`s knockout loss to Jake Paul and McGregor starting his own `Dirty Boxing Championship` with Jon Jones, McGregor said he was removing Perry from BKFC. Perry, a former UFC fighter, is a big star in bare-knuckle boxing, so this decision surprised many.

But now, McGregor says he `loves` Perry and invited him back for a fight. `Platinum` Perry has defeated fighters like Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez, and fought Jake Paul in boxing last year.

At a recent press conference for a BKFC event in Florida, McGregor spoke to the media about various things. One topic was fighting for the `King of Violence` title, which Perry currently holds.

He didn`t reject the idea and said he `loves` his rival: “Platinum is doing the thing with big soft gloves, the dirty thing? It`s alright.”

“Mike should come back. He still loves fighting, and we`ll always like Mike Perry. A fight between me and Mike would be great, for sure.”

Conor McGregor Fired Mike Perry After Jake Paul Loss

This is very different from how McGregor talked about Perry after his loss to Paul last summer. Instead of supporting Perry after a tough loss, McGregor criticized him and `fired` him.

`Conor

“Hey Mike, you`re released,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) early in the morning before deleting it. “Go compete in your smelly dirty boxing thing, good luck. You`re fired.”

He later repeated this to The Schmo: “Mike Perry is fired, but we`re negotiating… We gave him a made-up title, `King of Violence` or whatever. But he was never a world champion.”
