Recently, the Irish fighter returned to the octagon, looking to bounce back into the win column after his loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov last December.
In a standout performance, Garry defeated Carlos Prates in the main event of UFC Kansas City, getting his path back towards becoming the welterweight world champion on track.
In just a few weeks, the Dublin native is set to fly to Quebec, Canada, with the prospect of his dream potentially becoming a reality.

During his Saturday night bout, Ian Garry demonstrated championship spirit, showcasing impressive skill early on before displaying fierce heart to survive a late surge from Carlos Prates.
This important victory has further boosted the confidence of the MMA star, strengthening his belief that he possesses what it takes to reach the top of the UFC.
Following his big win, Garry stated he was heading to UFC 315, scheduled for May 10th, to serve as the backup fighter in case anything happens to either Belal Muhammad or Jack Della Maddalena.
The 27-year-old confidently announced: “In two weeks’ time, I’m flying to Canada.
“I’m the official backup for the world title fight.
“I’m next in line for that title!”
Dana White officially confirmed `The Future`s` statements during the UFC Kansas City post-fight press conference.
The executive simply stated: “It’s official.”
