Dana White once again angered fans on social media by skipping an important public event in Newark this week.
The UFC boss is known for hosting press conferences at major pay-per-view events, especially in the United States. However, he missed today`s UFC 316 event at the Prudential Center, where Sean O`Malley and Merab Dvalishvili faced off.
This absence followed his no-show at the post-fight press conference after UFC 315 and occurs amidst a brewing conflict with boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh.

This is the latest instance of him missing media obligations, having also skipped the post-fight press conference at UFC 315 after Belal Muhammad lost his welterweight title to Jack Della Maddalena. Travel issues were cited as the reason then, and he was replaced by UFC executive David Shaw.
On Thursday afternoon, lead commentator Jon Anik stepped in for White and fielded questions. He even offered his opinion on when Jon Jones will finally fight Tom Aspinall, while the crowd chanted “strip Jon Jones”.
Fans Outraged by Dana White`s Latest UFC Event Snub
Fans were unhappy with White`s absence from another media opportunity, expressing their frustration on social media. It wasn`t just his absence, but the press conference lasted noticeably less than 15 minutes.
“The UFC 316 presser is over in less than 15 minutes,” one fan wrote after it concluded. “This company is a joke.” Another asked, “Does Dana White even do any pre-fight or post-fight press conferences anymore?” He also called the promoter “half-assed.”
Another simply commented “he`s done” regarding White, while someone else suggested he must be busy with his “buddies,” hinting at the conflict brewing between Elon Musk and Donald Trump on social media today.
