Today, Slovakian tennis player Daniela Hantuchova celebrates her 42nd birthday. We join the numerous well-wishes extended to Daniela, wishing her good health and success in all her future endeavors.

Born on April 23, 1983, in Poprad, Daniela Hantuchova embarked on her professional tennis journey in 1999. Throughout her active years, she secured seven WTA singles titles and reached the finals on nine other occasions.

Hantuchova`s most notable performance at a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open in 2008, where she was defeated by Ana Ivanovic of Serbia. She also made it to the quarterfinals of both Wimbledon and the US Open in 2002, losing both times to the American great, Serena Williams. In August 2002, Hantuchova achieved her career-best ranking, climbing to World No. 5 on the WTA Tour.

In doubles, Daniela`s achievements include nine WTA titles and 12 runner-up finishes. A significant highlight of her career is completing a career Grand Slam in mixed doubles, having won all four major tournaments in this category across different years.

cumulatively, the Slovak earned $10,436,407 in prize money during her competitive career.

In July 2017, Daniela officially announced her retirement from professional tennis.

Presently, Hantuchova works as a tennis commentator and expert. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading books and watching films, as well as participating in skiing and snowboarding.
