Former world No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko has commented on Daniil Medvedev`s recent poor performances.
Davydenko stated, “He has completely lost his confidence. He`s playing his game, but it`s not the tennis we`re used to seeing from him. He seems to have lost some speed, and perhaps more importantly, his stability. He`s making more errors.”
Medvedev`s struggles were highlighted by his second-round defeat at the Miami Masters to world No. 56 Jaume Munar, losing 2-6, 3-6. This loss will see him drop out of the ATP Top 10 for the first time since 2023, falling to the world No. 11 ranking.
