World No. 26 Ekaterina Alexandrova shared her thoughts on defeating Zheng Qinwen in the quarterfinals of the Charleston tournament with a score of 6-1, 6-4.
“Of course, it wasn`t easy,” Alexandrova said in an on-court interview. “Even if the score might have looked comfortable at times, every game was tight and intense. I know she has a great serve and plays very well. I tried to seize every opportunity I could. I`m pleased with my match today and very happy to be in the semi-finals again.”
