Everton Bans Fan for Life Over Food Theft

An Everton football fan has been given a lifetime ban from the club after he filmed himself stealing food at Everton Stadium during a practice event.

The video shows the man ordering food at the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium in Liverpool. While a stadium worker was making coffee to complete his order, the fan took the food he had already been given and walked away, saying “adios amigo,” which is slang for theft.

Everton confirmed that the 62-year-old man has been banned indefinitely and his club membership has been cancelled. The incident happened on February 17th during Everton`s first trial event at the new stadium. 10,000 fans were invited to watch Everton play Wigan in an under-18s friendly match.

Several practice events have been held at the new stadium, which will become Everton`s home ground starting in the 2025-26 season. Everton has played at Goodison Park for 133 years. The new stadium will have a capacity of 52,888 people.

Merseyside Police are aware of the incident but stated that Everton is dealing with it.

The fan has been asked to donate the value of the stolen food to the Everton in the Community charity.
