Russian world number 50 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has spoken about her performance at Wimbledon, where she has advanced to the fourth round of the Grand Slam tournament.
In her third-round match, the Russian defeated former world number one Naomi Osaka of Japan with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Notably, Pavlyuchenkova saved a crucial double break point in the second set at 4-4.
“I`ve been very mentally strong in all three matches here,” Pavlyuchenkova stated after the match. “For a long time, I thought I didn`t like playing on grass, but so far, everything is going great, and I`m really enjoying it.”
