Georges St-Pierre weighs in on viral 100 men vs 1 Gorilla debate with controversial ‘expert opinion’

The online debate comparing 100 men fighting a single gorilla has been trending across the internet for the past week. Now, one of the all-time great UFC athletes, Georges St-Pierre, has shared his perspective on this viral topic.

This coming Saturday, the UFC is scheduled to return to Montreal for UFC 315. The event is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena.

Georges St-Pierre, widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters ever and arguably Canada`s top fighter, is expected to be present at UFC 315. He is slated to corner his protégé, Aiemann Zahabi, for his bout against Jose Aldo.

St-Pierre himself has recently hinted at a possible comeback to combat sports. He specifically mentioned being completely open to returning for grappling competition.

The debate asking whether 100 men could defeat a single Silverback Gorilla has captured widespread attention online. Most individuals participating in this discussion lack combat expertise. However, the UFC legend has now offered his informed opinion on the matter.

In a video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, St-Pierre began by addressing the viral discussion: “Let me give you my take on the famous debate that goes on, online on who would win in a fight between a Silverback Gorilla and 100 men.”

The former welterweight champion elaborated on his view: “I think it would be 100 men, if they are smart enough to go all at once and rush together. Of course there will be casualties but there you go, you have it from a so called expert.”

Considering his celebrated fight IQ, one of his standout attributes as a fighter, it`s fair to say that St-Pierre would be an invaluable addition to the group of 100 men if such a bizarre scenario were ever truly put to the test.

Community Reactions to St-Pierre`s Take

With the subject generating significant online discussion, fans quickly offered their reactions to GSP`s strategy and explanation for why 100 men might win against the gorilla.

One fan responded humorously, drawing a parallel to MMA tactics: “They could lay and pray and it would exhaust under the mass. Sound familiar?”

Another commenter expressed confidence in the human side: “100 men very easily. If they are smart about it non will get seriously injured.”

Conversely, a third fan disagreed with St-Pierre`s assessment, countering: “Gorilla wins. There’s only room for a handful of attackers at once.”
