Germany vs. Italy: Nations League Quarterfinal Second Leg

Germany is set to play against Italy at Signal-Iduna-Park in the second leg of the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals. This match follows Germany`s 2-1 victory over Italy in the first leg at San Siro. Germany, under Julian Nagelsmann, has been performing strongly, remaining undefeated in their last seven matches since their Euro 2024 quarterfinal loss to Spain. Italy, known as the Azzurri, finished their Nations League Group 2 campaign with the same points as France. The team that wins this game will advance to face either Denmark or Portugal in June.

Italy, coached by Luciano Spalletti, will be missing key players due to injuries. A significant absence is Inter Milan winger Federico Dimarco, who is injured and will be out for both matches against Germany. Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori also got injured and won`t play. Germany also has injury concerns, with Bayer Leverkusen striker Florian Wirtz and Arsenal`s Kai Havertz both unavailable for the two games against Italy this week.
