Ivan Ljubicic, former world No. 3 and now working for the French Tennis Federation (FFT), shared his perspective on how Roland Garros semifinalist Lois Boisson might fare on grass courts.
According to Ljubicic, Boisson, whose technique is heavily reliant on significant topspin, will encounter difficulties on grass. This playing style, he notes, will be less effective on this particular surface.
He believes she will need to adapt her game considerably, although he is confident she can manage it. Ljubicic pointed out that Boisson has a strong serve she can rely on for winning points and will need to effectively utilize slice shots to succeed on grass.
