British tennis player Jack Draper recently shared his thoughts on his current ranking and his emotional approach to the sport as he targets a spot in the world`s top 5.
“My position in the ranking doesn`t define who I am as a person,” Draper commented. “I actively use my fears and insecurities as fuel to give absolutely everything in every match. Regardless of the spot I occupy, I stay true to myself.”
Draper added that while rankings are significant, his notable achievements over the past year, including clinching a Masters title, securing ATP 500 and ATP 250 victories, and reaching a Grand Slam semifinal, provide crucial support during moments of self-doubt. “These successes help me stay confident,” he explained. “I remind myself, `Jack, you`re a really good player, there`s no need to feel anxious.`” He made these remarks at a press conference in Rome.
