Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has been named the Athlete of the Year for 2024 in South Tyrol, Italy, his native province.
The award ceremony was held as part of the Sporthlife Gala 2025.
In 2024, Sinner`s victories included the Australian Open and the US Open. He also triumphed at the ATP Finals and Masters 1000 tournaments in Cincinnati, USA, and Shanghai, China.
Currently, the world number one is serving a three-month suspension due to an anti-doping rule violation in the spring of 2024. He is expected to return to the tour in May at the Masters 1000 event on clay in Rome, Italy.
