World No. 3 Jessica Pegula offered her perspective on the realities of life as a professional tennis player.
Discussing the significant amount of time spent away from home, Pegula highlighted the role of accommodation. “We`re either on court or in a hotel room,” she stated. “It`s a very significant part of our lives. As I`ve gotten older, having a good hotel has become more and more important to me.”
She elaborated on the shift in priorities over time: “When you`re just starting to travel in your 20s, you don`t complain too much; you`re mainly working and settling into the tour. But when you turn 30 and you need a better pillow, honestly, that moment becomes very important!” Pegula`s comments were reported by Tennis.com.
