Joe Rogan Explains Paddy Pimblett’s Deceptive Style in UFC

Joe Rogan believes that Paddy Pimblett creates a false sense of security in his opponents within the UFC octagon.

When `The Baddy` first made his debut in the promotion, many doubted his potential to reach the elite level. However, following his victory over Michael Chandler, the Liverpudlian fighter is now on the verge of potentially securing a title shot against Islam Makhachev.

Dustin Poirier has expressed confidence in Pimblett`s ability to become UFC champion, and the promotion`s commentator, Joe Rogan, shares a similar level of admiration for what he has observed from the Englishman.

Rogan suggests that Pimblett`s grappling skills are considerably better than they are generally perceived to be.

Joe Rogan holds Paddy Pimblett in high regard, considering the fighter from Liverpool to be an exceptionally dangerous competitor.

The popular podcaster is convinced that one of Pimblett`s significant strengths lies in the effect his distinctive appearance has on his adversaries.

During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the American explained: “Paddy is a big lightweight. I know he gains a lot of weight between fights, but he`s big. Much bigger than people think.”

He continued: “I always say he tricks people by dancing and having silly hair. He`s a real killer. He`s tricking you; he`s like those bugs that pretend to be a stick and then attack.”

Joe Rogan`s View on Paddy Pimblett`s Opponents

Gradually, Pimblett is compiling a list of victories that include well-known names in MMA.

While some criticize the lightweight contender for facing veterans of the sport, Rogan argues that, within the proper context, these are still notable wins.

He added: “I love Chandler, and I love Paddy. He`s very impressive.”

Rogan elaborated: “There`s a strong argument that the last three guys he fought — Bobby (King) Green, Chandler, and Tony Ferguson — are fighters with losing records, which is true. But it`s still very impressive.”

He concluded by comparing the Chandler fight: “What he did to Chandler compared to what Charles Oliveira did. Oliveira was in real trouble in the third round of their last fight and in real trouble in the first round of their first fight. Paddy was never in danger.”
