Jorge Masvidal is determined to make his way back to the Ultimate Fighting Championship and believes recent fight outcomes have paved his path.
Masvidal`s career in the UFC reached its zenith in 2019 when he defeated Nate Diaz, claiming the inaugural BMF title. However, his time with the promotion concluded with a disappointing streak of four losses.
Since his departure, `Gamebred` has remained active in combat sports. Last July, he and Diaz had a rematch in boxing, where Diaz evened the score.
Despite the defeat to Diaz in boxing, Masvidal has expressed a strong desire to return to the UFC for one final run.

Masvidal Charts Course for UFC Return
Despite his past stardom in the UFC, there hasn`t been overwhelming public demand for his re-signing.
However, recent events, including Leon Edwards losing his second consecutive fight in a dominant defeat by Sean Brady, have shifted the landscape.
Edwards and Masvidal have a history of animosity dating back to a backstage altercation in 2019. This pre-existing tension makes a potential matchup against Edwards a significant possibility for Masvidal`s return.
“If the UFC wants to make this happen, the plan is clear. Set up the Leon fight, and then give me a shot at the title against whoever holds the belt,” Masvidal stated on Submission Radio.
“Tell Dana, give me Leon then a title fight. I would beat Leon in every aspect. He can`t handle my wrestling for five rounds, so takedowns aren`t a concern, and on our feet, I`m much tougher than him,” Masvidal asserted.
Masvidal Discusses Potential McGregor Bout
At the peak of his career, discussions arose about a potential superfight between Masvidal and Conor McGregor.
UFC President Dana White previously dismissed the idea, suggesting Masvidal was too large for McGregor, a comment that seemed to provoke McGregor.
Nonetheless, Masvidal has indicated he would consider a fight with McGregor, but only with a substantial upfront payment, referencing Michael Chandler`s prolonged wait for his own fight with McGregor.
