The chair umpire in the second-round match of the Monte Carlo Masters between Italian Lorenzo Musetti and Czech Jiří Lehečka paused the game due to Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar. He did not find his seat in the stands in time and interfered with the tennis players.
The three-time Tour de France winner and Olympic bronze medalist attended the match with his girlfriend Urška Žigart. Italian Musetti won the match and later commented on the incident.
`I saw Pogačar at a certain point in the match, he is an example of fighting and effort. It pushed me to come back when I managed to break in the second set. Perhaps part of the credit belongs to him as well,` – the tennis player said.
