Kevin Holland: My Win Over Joaquin Buckley Could Be Greatest Under One Condition

One of the UFC`s most reliable fighters is often in and out of the win column.

The Octagon returns to London, England this Saturday night where Leon Edwards will look to make a statement in the welterweight division.

Another competitor hoping to make noise at 170 pounds is Kevin Holland, returning to the division.

Kevin Holland aims to recover from recent middleweight losses by dropping to welterweight to face Gunnar Nelson.

Known for fighting anyone, anytime, Holland has many highlights, but he`s particularly proud of his 2020 win over Joaquin Buckley.

Kevin Holland Says Buckley Win Could Be Best of His Career

2020 was a historic year for Kevin Holland, tying the UFC record for five wins in a year.

After defeating Anthony Hernandez in May, Holland fought Joaquin Buckley in August.

After out-striking Buckley in the first two rounds and securing a knockdown, Holland finished strong in the third.

Holland landed a clean right hand, earning a performance of the night bonus.

Since then, Buckley moved down to welterweight after mixed results at 185 pounds.

Buckley has now won six straight, ranked #6 at welterweight after defeating Colby Covington.

In a TNT Sports interview, Holland said his best win is Buckley “if he goes and gets a title.”

“Best win of my career? Buckley if he goes and gets a title.”

Kevin Holland Picks Himself for Best Fight and Knockout in UFC History

Later in the interview, Holland named his best fight and knockout in UFC history as himself.

For knockout, he chose his 2020 finish of Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza at UFC 256.

For best fight, he picked his main event with Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson, which ended in the fourth round due to Holland`s broken hand.

Despite career choices, Holland`s willingness to fight is undeniable.
