Kudermetova Starts Strong at Rome WTA 1000

Russian world No. 50 Veronika Kudermetova successfully began her participation in the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome. In the first round, she defeated Italian world No. 148 Lucrezia Stefanini with a final score of 7-5, 6-2.

The match lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes. This encounter was the first meeting between the two players, giving Kudermetova a 1-0 advantage in their head-to-head record.
