Following her successful performance at Roland Garros, 22-year-old Lois Boisson, currently ranked world No. 361, is set to become the No. 1 French player. At the French Open, she managed to reach the semifinals, where she was stopped by American Coco Gauff, who won with a score of 6/1, 6/2.
According to the upcoming update of the women`s world rankings, Boisson will make a significant leap of 296 positions, reaching No. 65.
Boisson entered the main draw of this Grand Slam tournament via a wild card. In the quarterfinals, she notably defeated Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva.
