World No. 8 Madison Keys, who reached the semi-finals at the Queen`s Club tournament, shared her thoughts on preparing for the grass court season.
Keys described the swift transition: “The change was incredibly fast. On Wednesday I was playing on clay, on Thursday I was flying, and by Friday I was already out on the grass. It`s probably the quickest surface change I`ve ever experienced. But I`m really happy to be here in Queen`s. As soon as this tournament was added to the calendar, I knew I wanted to play it. The grass season is always tricky – there aren`t many events, and the competition is fierce. I was prepared for that challenge and decided to jump straight into it,” she said at a press conference.
