Mike Perry is still eager to fight Darren Till, a matchup fans have wanted for a long time. This potential fight between Bare Knuckle FC star Mike Perry and former UFC fighter Darren Till has been discussed for years, going back to their time in the UFC.
With summer approaching, a Perry versus Till fight might actually happen. Perry currently doesn`t have an opponent for his next BKFC fight, although there are rumors he might fight a UFC Hall of Famer later this year. Till is considering his next move in combat sports after recently defeating Anthony Taylor in a boxing match.
Both Perry and Till have blamed each other for previous failed attempts to organize a fight. However, this week, a new development has emerged.
Dirty Boxing Championship Makes Offer
Perry has created his own fighting promotion called Dirty Boxing Championship (DBC), which features a style of fighting he calls “Dirty Boxing.” DBC has hosted events with fighters like Yoel Romero and Andrei Arlovski and has part-ownership from Jon Jones.
DBC has now made a surprising offer to Till.
In a recent post on social media, Dirty Boxing Championship publicly offered Till a fight.
“Alright Darren Till, if you’re serious about fighting Mike Perry, here’s your shot,” the promotion stated. “We’re officially offering you $350,000 to step into the Dirty Boxing ring and face Mike Perry.”
“Are you ready to take it?” they asked.
As of now, Till has not responded to DBC`s offer. There have been no reports about negotiations for Till’s next fight since his bout with Taylor, or whether it will be in boxing or MMA.
Perry Previously Claimed Till Rejected $2 Million Offer
Earlier this year, Perry claimed that Till turned down a $2 million offer from BKFC to fight. Till quickly denied this, saying Perry and his team were the reason the fight didn`t happen.
Perry last fought in BKFC in April, defeating Thiago Alves. He then took a short-notice boxing match against Jake Paul, losing by TKO as a replacement for Mike Tyson.
Perry has also offered a fight in DBC to former NFL player Chad Ochocinco, but it`s unclear if Ochocinco has accepted. Perry is interested in both BKFC and headlining future DBC events.
The feud between Perry and Till began in October 2017 after Till`s UFC victory over Donald Cerrone. Perry confronted Till cageside during Till`s post-fight interview, and they exchanged heated words before security intervened.
Now, eight years later, a Perry vs. Till fight seems more likely than ever, and we may see this rivalry settled in 2025.
