MMA Star Imitates The Rock’s Move Before KO, Watched by Dustin Poirier

During an APFC fight, promoted by UFC legend Anthony Pettis, a fighter surprised everyone, including Dustin Poirier, by executing an incredibly unusual move for the MMA cage.

Anthony Pettis himself was known for pulling off spectacular moves in the UFC Octagon, with his famous `Showtime kick` being a legendary moment in MMA history.

MMA Fighter Replicates The Rock’s Signature Move at APFC Event

APFC 16 took place on Sunday in Milwaukee, featuring several title fights and UFC star Dustin Poirier as a spectator.

However, an undercard fight became the center of attention when Miguel Sanson performed The Rock`s famous WWE move, The People’s Elbow.

While MMA has seen many unusual moves, this might be the first time a fighter has incorporated a well-known WWE finishing move.

Shortly after `The People`s Elbow,` Swanson continued to dominate his opponent, Chris Johnson, slamming him headfirst in another WWE-style maneuver.

The aftermath was concerning as Johnson required oxygen and was stretchered out of the cage after being unconscious on the ground for some time.

Following the fight, Johnson accused Sanson of multiple fouls during the match, including illegal strikes.

“Kicked me in the nuts, illegal head spike at the end, illegal headbutt, elbow to the back of my head. But you did a great job wrestling. Good work,” Johnson commented.

Dustin Poirier Experienced Similar Move After UFC KO Loss

After Poirier`s knockout loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 291, referee Herb Dean jokingly hit Poirier with The Rock’s signature move.

‘The Diamond’s’ presence at APFC 16 occurs during a lull in his career. Following his recent loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, Poirier announced his plans to retire after his next fight.

Despite no official fight scheduled, rumors suggest a potential trilogy fight against current BMF champion Max Holloway.
