Muhammad Mokaev is confident that a significant victory at 971 FC will open the door for him to challenge Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC flyweight world championship.
The British prospect is scheduled to compete on June 14th at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai, UAE. He will face Alisher Gabdullin on a fight card that also includes appearances by Bellator veterans James Gallagher and Kane Mousah.
Throughout his impressive amateur and professional career, the skilled mixed martial artist has undeniably demonstrated his superior grappling abilities.
However, following his remarkable knockout win at Karate Combat 54, Mokaev is now showcasing that his striking prowess is equally dangerous.

Now, I`m ready to fight for the belt.”
Muhammad Mokaev Focused on Making a Statement at 971 FC
While Mokaev is excited about his long-term goals, he is not overlooking his immediate challenge at 971 FC.
Gabdullin, a former champion in a prominent European promotion, is an experienced opponent who is coming to compete, not just participate.
Describing his approach to the upcoming fight, Mokaev said, “I have to show my striking. My Plan B — wrestling — is always going to be there. Now, I need to put in the performance people want to see.” He acknowledged his opponent`s credentials: “He`s a great opponent. He is an ex-Oktagon champion, 15 wins and four defeats, so he`s an experienced fighter. I`m taking whoever comes in front of me.”
