Naomi Osaka on Miami Loss to Jasmine Paolini

Four-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, Naomi Osaka of Japan, has commented on her defeat by Italian player Jasmine Paolini in the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami.

Osaka mentioned that this was her first match this season against a Top 10 player and her first ever match against Paolini.

According to Osaka, experience played a significant role in the match. She admitted to not having played many matches against top-ranked players recently. Osaka expressed surprise at Paolini`s playing style, especially considering her height, stating, “I didn`t know she could hit with such power.”

The Miami Open match concluded with Paolini winning against Osaka with sets 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Paolini is set to play next against the winner of the match between Coco Gauff (USA) and Magda Linette (Poland).
