Reactions Pour In as PSG Claims Historic Champions League Crown

Paris Saint-Germain has achieved a historic milestone by securing their first-ever Champions League title,
following a dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final. This landmark win is not only a first for the Parisian club
but also the first for a French football team since 1993. The triumph fully realizes the vision of PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi
and marks a significant moment for both Paris and French football. While this victory could potentially usher in a new era of dominance
for PSG, the immediate focus is on celebrating this incredible exploit before attention shifts to the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States.

With this win, PSG also completed a historic treble this season. For manager Luis Enrique, this marks the second treble of his career, having previously achieved the feat with Barcelona.
PSG`s path to becoming Champions League winners was unexpected, especially considering they finished only 15th during the league phase of the competition. However, the addition of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
in January provided the crucial boost needed to elevate their performance to new heights. Following PSG`s momentous victory, tributes and congratulations have begun to flood in.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe

Despite his departure to Real Madrid the season prior, Kylian Mbappe was quick to congratulate his former club on their Champions League triumph via Instagram.
He posted: “The big day has finally arrived. Victory and with the manner of a whole club, congratulations PSG.”

Mbappe himself will still be aiming for his first Champions League title with Real Madrid next season. He will be working under new manager Xabi Alonso, who recently joined the club
after a successful spell with Bayer Leverkusen. Real Madrid notably failed to win any trophies during the past season.

Santos forward Neymar

Neymar, another star brought to PSG as part of the club`s ambitious push for Champions League glory alongside Lionel Messi, also shared a congratulatory message on social media after the win.

He simply posted: “Congratulations PSG,” accompanied by five clapping hands emojis.

The Eiffel Tower

Paris` iconic landmark, which is famously featured in PSG`s club logo, was illuminated in the team`s colors of red and blue to celebrate the victory.
The city of Paris is set to celebrate late into the night, with the special lighting display adding to the festive atmosphere.

Fluminense defender Thiago Silva

The former PSG captain and defender also shared his thoughts on the accomplishment, posting: “What an achievement — Congratulations, PSG.”

Sao Paulo forward Lucas Moura

Lucas Moura, another forward who spent a significant period with the Parisian club, added his words of support. He commented: “Congratulations Paris! Champions my brother.”

How about Messi?

As of Saturday night, Lionel Messi, who played alongside Neymar and Mbappe at PSG, had not yet publicly reacted to his former club`s victory.
His current club, Inter Miami, had a match scheduled for Saturday evening.
