Roger Federer Reflects on Nadal’s Emotional Roland Garros Tribute

Legendary tennis player and 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer shared his impressions of the farewell ceremony organized for Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros.

According to Federer, “The ceremony for Rafa at Roland Garros was incredible. Everyone really liked this tribute, but especially Rafa himself. I heard him talk about his emotions in interviews, and that truly makes me happy.”

He noted that the ceremony was filled with strong emotions and gratitude. The most memorable and touching moment for him personally was the presentation of the plaque with Rafa`s name on the court. “It will remain there forever,” the Swiss emphasized.

“Any player stepping onto Court Philippe-Chatrier will see that plaque, and I`m sure it will serve as a tremendous source of inspiration and motivation. Rafa received the farewell and recognition he truly deserves. I am very happy for him. I`m also grateful for the opportunity to share this special moment with Rafa, Novak, and Andy. I hadn`t seen them for a long time. It`s always heartwarming to meet Rafael`s family and friends. I`ve been lucky enough to know them, and I was happy to see them all smiling. The crowd`s reaction was also incredible and very impressive.”
