World number nine, Andrey Rublev, shared his thoughts on the initial stages of his partnership with coach Marat Safin.

When asked to compare the Safin-Rublev duo to Djokovic-Murray, Rublev simply stated, “Just Safin.”

Elaborating on Safin`s impact beyond tennis strategy, Rublev mentioned, “Yes, a lot. I can`t go into details.”

Clarifying if it was a personal matter, Rublev responded, “Well, not ours, but mine. I feel that some things are already working.”

Regarding the quick positive results, Rublev acknowledged the short time frame but expressed optimism. “We`ll see. Yes, as you say, little time has passed – it`s hard to say definitively. To answer the last question: I`m not expecting anything in particular. I`ll do my best. I hope we connect, and maybe he`ll enjoy being at tournaments again from time to time. So far, everything is great, and I`m trying to do everything asked of me. Some things have become much clearer, so we`ll see,” Rublev concluded in an interview with the BB Tennis YouTube channel.
