Samsonova’s Opening Match in Den Bosch Suspended Due to Rain

The first-round match at the WTA 250 tournament in `s-Hertogenbosch between Russian tennis player Liudmila Samsonova and Canadian Carson Branstine was suspended.

At the time of the suspension, the score was 4/6, 7/5. The players managed to spend 1 hour and 40 minutes on court.

The match is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, June 11, with the approximate time for resumption being 13:30 Moscow time.

Due to poor weather, other matches of the day were also cancelled, including the encounters of Roberto Bautista-Agut against Hubert Hurkacz and Anouk Koevermans against Maria Sakkari. Rain repeatedly interrupted play throughout the day.

The tournament in `s-Hertogenbosch is being held from June 9 to 15. Interestingly, the defending champion of these competitions is none other than Liudmila Samsonova.
