After a short break last year, Scottie Scheffler, a two-time Masters champion, is again in charge of creating the menu for the Masters Club dinner for champions.
This dinner tradition began in 1952 thanks to Ben Hogan and is for past Masters winners. The current club chairman, Fred Ridley, is also invited as a special guest.
Scheffler, who won his second green jacket last year with a final round of 68, finishing at 11 under par and beating Ludvig Åberg by four strokes, has designed a menu that really represents his Texas roots.
The dinner will begin with appetizers like cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and meatball and ravioli bites. Then, guests will enjoy Texas-style chili, followed by a choice of cowboy ribeye or blackened redfish for the main course.
For dessert, a warm chocolate chip skillet cookie with vanilla bean ice cream will be served.
This Tex-Mex menu is quite different from the Spanish dishes chosen by Jon Rahm in 2024, which included things like gernika peppers and lentil stew. However, some fans might notice similarities to Scheffler’s menu from 2023.
It seems Scheffler is sticking with what works, and it makes us wonder if tortilla soup might be included!
