Sean Brady Fires Back at Belal Muhammad Following UFC London Win

Sean Brady has responded to UFC champion Belal Muhammad`s comments that he `copied his homework` after Brady`s victory at UFC London.

Brady, a Philadelphia native, solidified his position as a top welterweight contender with a dominant submission win over Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC London. While some fans criticized his fighting style as overly cautious, it resulted in Edwards` first ever loss by finish.

Belal Muhammad, watching the fight, quickly took to social media to address both fighters. Muhammad previously won the welterweight title from Edwards and inflicted a knockout defeat on Brady in October 2022, ending Brady`s undefeated streak.

Sean Brady Rejects Belal Muhammad`s Critique After UFC London

Belal Muhammad had strong opinions about the UFC London main event, involving two fighters he has previously faced and defeated: Leon Edwards and Sean Brady. While Muhammad seems to rate Brady higher than Edwards, he still had some playful criticism for the American.

Muhammad joked on social media platform X that “Sean copied my homework.” Brady addressed this at the post-fight press conference, stating to the media, “I think I did it a lot better than Belal did.”

Brady elaborated, “I think Belal lost a couple of rounds, had his back taken for an entire round. Was it 3-2? I dominated Leon, won every round, nobody’s ever did it like me and then I submitted him and made him quit in front of his home town.”

Brady continued, emphasizing his dominance, “If we were in Philly you ain’t making me quit in front of my home town I’m telling you that. I’m going to sleep, son. So just remember that.”

Belal Muhammad Trolls Both Fighters After UFC London

Belal Muhammad was keenly observing the UFC London main event, sharing his thoughts on social media. Both Brady and Edwards are potential future opponents as top contenders in the welterweight division. Muhammad is scheduled to defend his title against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 in May.

Muhammad also trolled Edwards, referencing Edwards` past iconic moments by tweeting “Headshot dead” after the fight concluded. He also mimicked Edwards` coach Dave Lovell’s famous motivational speeches, posting, “Don’t let him bully you son,” and “Leon’s gonna need a big motivational speech this round.”

Muhammad also made light of the argument that his previous win over Edwards is sometimes questioned because it occurred early in the morning in Manchester to suit US time zones. He tweeted, “Leon’s still on 5 am time zone.”
