Stefanos Tsitsipas to Adjust Tactics Against Arthur Fils

Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas, currently ranked 16th in the world, shared his thoughts on his upcoming quarterfinal match against French player Arthur Fils at the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, Spain.

Tsitsipas acknowledged Fils, who is ranked 14th, as a formidable opponent known for his aggressive style of play. Reflecting on his past encounters with Fils, where he has been defeated twice, Tsitsipas emphasized his intention to make tactical adjustments for their next match.

During a press conference, Tsitsipas stated, “I consider him a worthy opponent with an aggressive style of play. My previous experiences against him have not been successful, and I am determined to refine my tactics. I will focus on creating more opportunities to win this time, carefully observing his game and aiming to prevent him from dictating the pace of the match.”

This quarterfinal will be their third meeting, with Fils having won both of their previous encounters.
