British tennis player Emma Raducanu shared her reflections after advancing to the second round of the Queen`s Club tournament in London. In her opening match, she defeated Spaniard Cristina Bucsa with a score of 6-1, 6-2.
I must admit, I was really focused today, so I`m very pleased with the final result.
There was definitely some nervousness at the start. This is my first time playing at Queen`s, and the crowd support was unbelievable.
I`d say I`m still adapting to this surface. There are moments in my game where I feel a little behind, and I`m working on improving that.
I knew today`s match wouldn`t be easy; I lost to Cristina earlier this season, so I really focused on avoiding a repeat.
My goal is to stay at Queen`s as long as possible and get in as many matches as I can.
Raducanu made these comments after securing her victory.
