Toni Nadal, uncle and former coach of Rafael Nadal, the 22-time Grand Slam champion, has spoken about the performance of 19-year-old Alexandra Eala, currently ranked No. 140 in the world, at the Miami tournament (USA).
“I have always believed in this girl. It`s a great achievement for us because she has been training with us the longest, almost six years. In all this time, neither she nor her family have ever complained.”
“She is showing what she is capable of: defeating the world`s second and fifth-ranked players in one tournament is serious. Victory over opponents of this level suggests that with a little improvement in her game, she can break into the world`s top ranks,” the coach stated.
