UFC welterweight fighter Daniel Frunza has affirmed his intention to make a strong comeback after being hospitalized following his debut fight last night.
In a challenging debut at UFC Vegas 105, Frunza faced Rhys McKee and endured multiple knockdowns, resulting in a severe facial injury. UFC President Dana White shared images highlighting the extent of Frunza`s injuries after the fight, where McKee secured a victory in his fifth UFC appearance.
McKee`s dominant performance earned him a $50,000 bonus, potentially marking a turning point in his octagon career. Despite previous losses in the promotion, McKee, a former Cage Warriors champion, demonstrated his capabilities.

“Feeling good,” Frunza posted, accompanying a photo of his stitched eye and lip. “Heartbroken about the result, but I’ll return more dangerous than ever.” He also mentioned the UFC and Dana White in his post.

Rhys McKee Says Frunza`s Comment Fueled Intense Performance
Leading up to their Saturday fight, questions surrounded McKee’s UFC standing after previous defeats. McKee mentioned that comments from Frunza about doubting his power motivated him to fight aggressively at the Apex.
“Honestly, Daniel is a nice guy,” McKee stated in a post-fight interview. “I heard he mentioned in an interview that I don’t hit hard, and I took that as motivation. I do hit very hard.”
“My punches feel like they have stones in them, and anyone who takes them will know it. I knocked him down four times, and hopefully, a bonus comes with that.”
