Victor Yanchuk Analyzes Andreeva’s Rome Quarterfinal Loss to Gauff

Honored Coach of the Russian Federation Victor Yanchuk commented on the defeat of Mirra Andreeva by Coco Gauff in the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome (4/6, 6/7(5)).

“It`s a disappointing defeat, and although Mirra lost in two sets, the match was even. Gauff was a bit sharper and slightly luckier. Mirra could have won the tiebreak, she missed many opportunities, and who knows how the match would have ended if it had reached a decisive set. In any case, this is valuable experience, and for a top-ten world ranking player, the quarterfinals are a good result,” TASS quoted Yanchuk as saying.
