Renowned Russian coach Viktor Yanchuk commented on Daniil Medvedev`s current dip in form. Following the Miami Masters tournament, Medvedev will drop out of the top 10 in the world rankings.
Yanchuk noted that this is due to the ranking system and the current moment. He believes that neither Medvedev nor Rublev are currently showcasing their best tennis. Rublev managed to win a tournament, while Medvedev has not yet succeeded. However, Yanchuk believes that Medvedev will return to peak form, despite a prolonged slump.
Speaking about Grand Slam tournaments, Yanchuk acknowledged that Medvedev`s chances of winning are not high, but still exist. He is confident that at his peak, Medvedev is capable of performing successfully in ATP tournaments and will still show a high level of play. Yanchuk emphasized that Medvedev should not be underestimated.
