Wayne Gretzky, known as `The Great One,` retired in 1999 holding 61 NHL records, most notably the record for career goals. Over his 20-year career, he scored an unmatched 894 goals in 1,487 games. This record has stood firm since his retirement, but Alex Ovechkin is currently chasing it.
