Tennis player Emma Navarro, ranked 11th in the world, explained the reason she doesn`t wear a cap or visor while playing.
According to Navarro, she used to wear a visor and then a cap when she was younger. However, around the age of 13-14, she stopped wearing headwear due to a noticeable difference in skin tone: her forehead remained pale, while the rest of her face tanned. She recalls it was probably in middle school when she decided she didn`t want to have such a tan line. Since then, she hasn`t worn anything on her head during matches and believes she has become excellent at squinting from the sun. Navarro made this statement at a press conference in Charleston.
